Essential Job Functions include: |
- Development of the Sigma Aldrich product range in a defined area (focus on the Middle East Markets) in order to develop market shares, sales, gross margin and service in accordance to the corporate expectations
- Identify, develop and lead distribution partners in the defined area according to the company guidelines, such as market penetration, sales growth and service
- Communication and coordination with Export Management and European Management to ensure that all given guidelines are fulfilled and implemented
- Ensure together with the Export Manager and Compliance Department that all export regulations are fulfilled
- Support of the Marketing plans (together with the Marketing Department) by planning, initiating and monitoring of the sales initiatives
- Represents in a cost sensitive manner the Sigma-Aldrich Export Department during customer visits
- Responsible for the turnover targets in the designated area
- Ensure that all distribution partners in the defined area have established a financial model which is in line with the corporate expectation
- Frequently supervise and review the sales process (with or without distribution partners) and find ways to improve it
- Interacts frequently with CSS Team and Field Application Specialist and Marketing Team to ensure the service towards the distribution partners

Your Profile: |
- Degree in Chemistry and/or Analytical Sciences or Biology (MSc or adequate)
- Minimum five years of sales experience/also with international customers
- Business experience in the Middle East, dealing with Distributors
- Solid knowledge of export regulations
- Common knowledge of process improvement techniques
- Fluency in English, basic knowledge of German/willingness to improve German
- Ideally additional degree/intensive training in business administration
- Professional skills to manage, motivate and develop employees either directly or without authority
- Very good communication skills and a high willingness for teamwork
- Very good PC skills, in MS Office and ideally in SAP
- Independent, reliable and self-motivating person
- Ability to adapt to the various cultural aspects and environments
